Val Venosta/Vinschgau

in the west of South Tyrol

Val Venosta/Vinschgau is characterised by fascinating differences – from high-alpine plateaus surrounding Resia/Reschen Lake, to apple orchards in the mild and sunny deeper valleys up to the summit of the 3905 metre high Ortles/Ortler Mountain, the highest mountain in South Tyrol. This variety makes Val Venosta/Vinschgau an ideal holiday destination for hiking families and ambitious mountaineers, pleasure cyclists and mountain-bikers, nature and culture lovers.

Impressive sights like the Stelvio National Park, the hundreds of years old irrigation channels, the numerous historic village centres and the well preserved castles and convents await you. The snow-safe ski resorts and the quiet high-alpine valleys attract winter athletes of all disciplines in winter.

Val Venosta/Vinschgau comprises the Passo Resia/Reschenpass holiday region, the Alta Val Venosta/Obervinschgau holiday region, the holiday village Tubre in Val Monastero/Taufers im Münstertal, the Ortles/Ortler holiday region, the holiday village of Silandro/Schlanders-Lasa/Laas, Laces/Latsch-Val Martello/Martelltal and Castelbello/Kastelbell-Ciardes/Tschars.
