Finest berry fruits from the mountains
Strawberries and raspberries are among the berry fruits which may be identified by the South Tyrol Quality Symbol. They come from monitored, integrated production cultivation and must meet certain standards including prescribed minimum sugar levels and healthy substances. Cultivation areas in South Tyrol comprise Europe’s highest self-contained growing region at altitudes between 800 and 1,600 metres above sea level. At these elevations red fruits ripen slowly in intense sunlight but at low temperatures and are consequently intense in flavour and aroma. The fruit is hand picked and supplied fresh.
