Vegetables with the South Tyrol Quality Symbol
Warm, sunny days, cool nights and fertile soils provide the prerequisites for growing top quality vegetables. They include potatoes, cauliflower, radicchio, beetroot, iceberg lettuce and cabbage. Only freshly-harvested, superior quality vegetables and lettuces cultivated under environmentally friendly conditions qualify for the Quality Symbol. They are all grown in the open air and contain an abundance of salubrious ingredients, being fresh, crisp, tasty and rich in vitamins. The cultivation areas are at altitudes varying from 500 to 1,650 metres as the Vinschgau.
